Massage is
a system of manipulating, pressing and kneading different areas of
the body with oils and/or lotions to relieve pain, relax, stimulate
and tone the soft tissues (muscles, tendons and ligaments). Massage
stimulates blood circulation and assists the lymphatic system (which
runs parallel to the circulatory system), improving the elimination
of waste throughout the body. It also reduces recovery time, spasms,
cramping and adhesions and increases flexibility and range of motion.
Massage provides relief to people of all ages, from infants to seniors,
and from all walks of life. Regular massage can
have the effect of strengthening and toning the entire body, helping
to prevent unnecessary strains and injuries that might otherwise occur
due to excess tension and resulting structural weaknesses. Stephanie
is a Dean's List graduate of the Pensacola Junior College Massage Therapy
Program, Licensed Spa Specialist #MA53480.
