MWR - Leisure Activities

The Auto Hobby Shop is located in building 1006, on board Corry Station Pensacola.
It is a well equipped, modern facility staffed with knowledgeable attendants who are prepared to provide authorized patrons with technical guidance and assistance.

The facility has 19 work bays, 8 automotive lifts, hydraulic presses, floor jacks, transmission jacks, tire machines, a tire balancers, brake lathes, a glass bead blasting cabinet, computer code readers, a hydraulic press, drill press, strut compressor, valve machine, steam cleaner, engine hoist, engine stands, solvent tanks, battery chargers,
torque wrenches, timing lights, pneumatic tools, air conditioning tools, various special tools and electronic testing equipment. Any additional items or special tools needed can be checked out at the Customer Service Counter.

The Auto Hobby Shop is also equipped with one of the most advanced computerized automotive technical libraries available. The full 12-Disk Mitchell-On-Demand CD-ROM library is on line with a workstation available to authorized customers. It provides the patron with the ability to research information on just about every car, truck, or van sold
in the USA since 1983. A search of Mitchell-on-Demand can save hours of unnecessary work. In addition to technical advice, the attendants provide service to customers by mounting tires on wheels, balancing tires, turning brake drums and rotors, as well as, performing engine diagnostic testing.

Check the At Ease for Specials. There are two 24 hour car wash bays. One is located on Saufley Street, NASP and the other is located at the auto hobby shop on Corry Station.

A.C. Read Golf Club - (850-452-2454)
	Open 7 a.m. to sun-down, A.C. Read offers 27 championship holes with an additional 18 hole executive course and a 9-hole course at nearby Saufley Field. Club / cart rentals, rental lockers, driving range, practice green, lessons, club repair, regripping and storage are available. The Golf Shop has complete equipment sales and special order services. The second floor of A.C. Read Golf Club features The Oaks Restaurant and Lounge offering breakfast, weekday luncheon buffet and grill service. A.C. Read Golf Club is open to all military, DOD, Navy League and guests. Hours: Monday - Sunday: 7 a.m. - until sundown Pro Shop - Monday - Sunday: 6:45 a.m. - 5 p.m. Food Service - Monday - Sunday: 6:00 a.m. - 2 p.m. Lounge - Monday - Sunday: 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Autorama Sale Lot: - ( 850-452-6542)
	For a small fee, park your "FOR SALE" vehicle in the Autorama. The item can be advertised in the classified section of the Gosport base newspaper. This is a great opportunity to display your car, boat, camper, etc. for all to see. Autorama is operated by Auto Hobby & open the same hours. The lot is located on Murray Road, south of Pen Air and across from Building 3815.

Bayou Grande Family Picnic Center - (850-452-9642)
	The perfect setting for family or Department/Unit get-togethers, the Family Picnic Center has: Large Group Picnic Sites, Horseshoes, Volleyball Individual Picnic Sites, Fishing Pier, Nature Trail, Rest Rooms Pavilions, Kayak & Canoe Rentals, Bar-B-Que Pits Take Taylor Road north past the cemetery and turn right on Tower Road. For reservations call Oak Grove Park at 452-2535.

Tennis (850-452-2317)
	Courts are located at A.C. Read golf course, and Taylor Road. Courts are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Veterinarian (850-452-3530)
	The vet clinic in Bldg. 626-A west of the Navy Exchange Autoport. Services include routine shots, skin care, parasite treatments and general health care for pets of active duty and retired military. Flea control and over-the-counter products are available. Call for information or appointment .
