Military Idol is a singing competition open to active duty patrons only. Our MC will make a list of songs
for contestants to choose from and perform for the judges. Each participant may audition two nights in
the preliminary rounds, but they must sing a different song each
night. Participants will be judged on a
1-10 scale in the following categories:

           1) Vocal quality (tone & pitch)
           2) Support of sound (breath)
           3) Sense of Rhythm (timing)
           4) Enunciation of Lyrics
           5) Energy Level
           6) Star Worthy appearance and Stage Presence

After all performances, scores will be tallied and the top performers from each audition night will continue to the
Semi-Final round. The Semi-Finals will have about 20 contestants. The rules above also apply to the Semi-Finals
round and about 5 participants will move on to the Finals. Each participant that advances to the final round will sing
the National Anthem acapella, and a karaoke song of their choice.

Contestants may NOT sing the same song more than once throughout the preliminary and semi-final
rounds of the event. Participants may sing a song they sang previously for the Grand Finale.
